Personal, Hobbies, In My Spare Time, Unique Facts:

  • Wife, mother, runner, quilter, educator, passionate about kids
  • love to run although I am slower than I used to be. I have completed over 15 half marathons and one full. Running clears my mind and challenges me in all ways.
  • I love the outdoors. My dad built 3 log cabins by hand, even using an antique draw knife to remove the bark from trees. Spent my childhood stomping around in the creek and playing in the woods.
  • Love of volleyball, basketball, running, sewing, reading, traveling, kayaking and hiking.
  • Two daughters who I am very proud of and love to support in their journey and endeavors
  • I love the Smoky Mountains and a mountain stream is my favorite place in the world to be.

Favorite or Most Impactful Teacher Growing Up:
Mrs. Kay Adams. She was my gifted education teacher for 5 years. She challenged me to be a problem solver and critical thinker. She offered me opportunities to try new things and work outside of my comfort zone. She was invested in each and every student that she taught.
