Mrs. Anne Braun Professional Career:

  • 4th Grade Teacher, Lee’s Summit R7 School District 1999-present. Experience teaching 5th and 6th Grade. 4th Grade Teacher, Grandview C4 School District 1995-1999.
  • Currently a Member of the Lee’s Summit School District’s Dignity Implementation Team, Inquiry Cadre, New Teacher Mentor.
  • Created an “Elementary Tips and Suggestions” Webinar for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to assist teachers in developing an awareness of social-emotional needs of students and families, supporting them with current research/hands-on strategies to use both virtually and in-person. 
  • Presenter, Woodland Elementary Staff, Social Emotional Learning During a Pandemic,
  • Lee’s Summit R7 Peak Grant Recipient, 2011, 2020 and 2021.
  • Presenter, Woodland Elementary Family Math Night-encouraged parents to embrace the shift from traditional math practices and teaching to a more conceptual understanding of the “why” of math focusing on the importance of developing mathematical concepts.
  • Presenter, Mrs. Anne Braun, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development in Education, ASCD, Designing and  Connecting Powerful Learning Experiences – “Teaching to the Content:  Brain Compatible Strategies for the Elementary Classroom”
