Favorite or Most Impactful Teacher Growing Up:
Todd and Pam Schnake: Todd was my high school theatre teacher (and now my colleague) who got me to come out of my shell on stage and in my life. Pam, his wife, was my mentor teacher in a class called “Cadet Teaching” which I took as a “blow off” class as a senior in high school. Each day, I would leave the high school to help her teach a group of 7th graders. I fell in love with the moments when I saw their growth toward the task. I loved the group dynamic of people working together. I completely changed the trajectory of my college plans to become an education major instead of a chemical engineer. I have never regretted this decision.
