Favorite or Most Impactful Teacher Growing Up:

  • Mr. Stephen McBurnett: He was a creative science teacher for my junior high years.  He always had his students involved with hands-on learning experiences..  He had high expectations for all his students, and he had a way of getting even the most reluctant students to work hard for him.  He was also my cross country coach and track coach for 6 years.  He could be heard all over the CC coach calling your name to go faster.
